Hi, my name is James, welcome to Hat Blocks Direct. My Company specializes in wooden handcrafted hat blocks for the millinery trade. I have five years experience in hat block making and pattern making and have obtained NVQ’s in engineering.

 

I work alongside Paul, my Father, who has 30 years patternmaking experience and in recent years established his own Patternmaking Company ‘Integrity Craftsmanship’.  Paul has eight years experience in the hat block trade.

 
All administration at Hat Blocks Direct is handled by my mother Christine, who also has several years experience making bespoke hats for clients, including Dave Hill of Slade, and has exhibited hats at the annual hat festival at Chapeau Caussade, France.
 
 
All of our work is carried out from our spacious, fully equipped unit in Stourbridge, West Midlands. using both traditional and modern techniques and equipment.
